Alopecia Ophiasis
My son has now been suffering from aa for 14 months it started with a single patch at the back of his head it then spread to further patchs on the sides,he has had a few health problems prior to his aa starting including reacurring throat infections which lead to 8 abcesses on the throat this occured whilst on holiday in turkey he was rushed to hospital where he recieved high doses of antibiotics. He then losted the majority of his hair he now has only about 20% scalp hair left. He has been refered to a derm who prescripted steroid cream which he used for 1 month with no change.he has also had 2 blood tests,the first test he was low on iron which he was given medicine for his recent test was normal.i have also tried chinese herbal medicine but again with no change,i am now also facing new problems as my son has started school and is facing bullys coments about his aa.i am a single parent on income support and want to give my son every chance of treatment. sorry forgot to mention my son is 5 years old and i started using calosol about 3 weeks ago
