Sharni

Alopecia
Alopecia history stated in approx 1997, at age 20. As most people, started as a very small patch discovered by a hairdresser. It took approximately 3 years to reach the size it is now. Since then, I have had no response to treatements, although the patch of hairloss itself has not grown (touch wood !!). Treatments have included so many scalp biopsies I cannot count, some anti-biotics which were very strong which they approached as a bacterial/ fungus treatment, steroid creams. After approximately two years of this, I resorted to doing nothing, as my self esteem plummeted. I had a break from all treatment for 2 or so years. Since then, I have been tested for food allergies, thyroid problems and used more of a natural approach. Unfortunately my hair is still not growing back. I do have follicles that do pop up from time to time, but as yet have not found an effective treatment. I have also had a slight thinning of my eyebrows over the years. Other then the patch, I have lots of hair, which is very healthy, and has no problems growing. Please find attached two photos, they show a frontal view (for thinning eyebrows) and best I could take of the patch itself. i do find it very hard to look at, let alone get a photo. I'm turning 30 this year, and hope to gain some hair back if possible. Please let me know if there is any further information you need.

Alopecia Case Study

Hi Sharni,

I am working with Elias to bring you the fastest resolution that we can to
your problem. We think that eyebrows will respond well to the Calosol ointment, but wish
to ask a few more questions about your scalp:

Alopecia Case Study

Does the area of hairloss is itch at all?
Is there any inflammation present?
Are there any open wounds from scratching.

Regards

Andy
